TJ Maxx Haul: New Skincare Goodies + First Impressions

Tj Maxx truly has my heart. It is one of my favorite retail stores to visit, and spend half my paycheck at. Which is one of the reasons I avoid it half the time. Every single time I visit, something catches my eye, and somehow lands in my hands, and then in a white branded Tj Maxx bag as I head out of the door.

I normally use the Tea Tree Toner Water from Lush and its a must-have daily skincare product for me. Although, I ran out and my schedule has been a bit busy for me to take a trip to the city to buy a new one. I know I can order it online, but I’m one of those people who likes free shipping, and when I order something, I want it right away.

So I took a trip to Tj Maxx in hopes of finding a temporary toner water to use until I decide to travel to a LUSH store.

Here are the products I picked up at my local Tj Maxx:

Valjean Labs’ Glow Facial Serum and Pearlessence’s Mint + Bamboo Tonic Water

What I love about Tj Maxx is that you can find great quality products for a great bargain. Each product in this post cost me $5.99, which was not bad at all for a serum and toner water. The toner water that I use from Lush costs $10.95 for a 3.3 fl. oz bottle. Whereas the Pearlessence Mint + Bamboo Tonic Water from Tj Maxx is priced at 5.99 for a 4 fl. oz bottle.

Valjean Labs’ Glow Facial Serum with Vitamin C + Magnesium

The Valjean Labs’ brand offers a serum inside a bottle with a glass dropper sizing up at 1.83 fl oz. The vitamin c within this product is intended to brighten up your face, while the magnesium works at evening out the skin.

I love how simple the appearance of this bottle is. I do tend to adore colorful designs, but there is something about this that drew me into buying it.

This is a comment that should not be taken so literal as everyone has different interests when it comes to smells. I think that it smells like a serum. By that I mean that it does not have any special fragrance that masks what it is.

Final Thoughts:

I have only used it once since I purchased it, so my thoughts here are based off a first impression. My skin has not reacted in a negative way towards the serum so that’s a plus. In the directions, it states that it can be used alone or under a moisturizer, so I will take that into consideration and see which method works best for me. Either way, I think it is worth the bargain and buying.

PEARLESSENCE Mint + Bamboo Tonic Water

Tonic water that is infused with mint and bamboo to provide a refreshing feel and hydration to the skin. It is meant to restore and balance the skin after cleansing.

Another simple design that drew me in. I love the look of the bottle itself. It has this cloudy look to it that makes the product itself look as if you bought it from a high-end store.

I can’t exactly praise the smell since I am not really a fan of mint, nor do I know what a bamboo is supposed to smell like. I simply bought this tonic water because I know how good mint is for the skin and it was the only one available . Being that I don’t like mint as much, I am beginning to grow into the smell.

Final Thoughts: I have tried this on both my wrists and my face, since the label says you can use on the rest of your body as well. I have to admit that once I used it, I kept looking at myself in the mirror and smiling at myself like an idiot. In other words, that means that my skin reacted positively to the product and my skin felt good.

Note: I did not include any links to the products mentioned because they are not on the Tj Maxx website. I suggest visiting your local Tj Maxx and hoping you find yourself a bottle. If you have shopped at Tj Maxx before, you know that anything they carry is never guaranteed, if you see something you like, GET IT, or miss out.

Until my next shopping trip.

I used to love TJ Maxx, but recently I’ve realized I like Marshall’s so much more! Just seems more out together to me? Idk. Thanks for for sharing!💖 —

Well to be honest, tj maxx and marshall are owned by the same people. But I get what you’re saying. Marshalls and Home Goods tend to be more on the clean and neat side than Tj Maxx

A formidable share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little bit analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! However yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I really feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you turn into expertise, would you mind updating your blog with extra details? It’s extremely helpful for me. Large thumb up for this blog put up!
